This prompt made me immediately think of Venus of Willendorf, a statue I find very beautiful and like a lot, and then I started wondering what else does belong in a museum and is related to women. I picked tablet weaving tablets, as weaving was hugely a women's job in many places over the centuries and I feel like this craft doesn't get the recognition it deserves (despite being featured in so, so many museums, not many people talk about it). Tablet weaving is the only type of weaving that I did myself, so I choose these specific tools as they are most familiar to me. The last one is a metal speculum, which I think should be in museums at this point. There are new iterations of this tool out there, made of plastic, which are not startling cold to touch, and some gentler in use for anyone experiencing pain.
